We visited this “big basket” grocery store. Their “Fresh Kitchen” savory and pastry items…isn’t even fresh. I ordered samosa chaat and a piece of mango pastry cake. Had them at their dining area…however the samosa was dry, and even the chaat was dry. All you could taste was the dry, spicy samosa chaat. The pastry was stale, couldn’t even eat it properly with a spoon and so I had to use my finger to break it easily and eat. I felt a bit sick afterwards when I was driving back home. We also decided to get some groceries and got the dinner rolls, and when we got home, they were stale and dry. I don’t even know how long they had been sitting on display. Very disappointed. Not worth the hype.

Big Basket is such a great addition to Stafford! Huge variety of Indian and Pakistani groceries, fresh products, savory items, rice, flour, and so much more. Definitely worth visiting for your weekly grocery shopping!

I visited Big Basket Grocery Store for the first time and was excited to try their new location. They have a small fast-food area with both carryout and seating, which is a nice concept. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. I purchased three different pastries for my daughter, but when we got home and served them, she was unable to eat them because they tasted stale and were clearly not fresh. Based on the taste and texture, they seemed to have been sitting for several days. For a brand-new store, I was surprised and disappointed that pastries being sold to customers were not fresh enough to enjoy. Freshness is especially important when selling food to families and children. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and checks the freshness and quality of the products before putting them out for sale. A first experience like this makes it difficult for a customer to feel confident about coming back.
